A 4-week journey into clay, guided by artist and educator Sarah (@art.forms.in.nature). This course is about slowing down, connecting to your hands and intuition, and letting the creative process unfold.

Rather than teaching one specific form, this course invites you to explore a wide range of handbuilding techniques — pinch, coil, slab, carving — and use them as tools to bring your own ideas to life. Whether you're drawn to organic sculpture, functional objects, or simply playing with form and texture, this space is yours to explore with gentle guidance and support.

What to Expect

Session 1 – Approaching the Clay (2 hrs)
We’ll begin by grounding ourselves in the material — getting to know the clay, trying out different handbuilding techniques (pinch, coil, slab), and exploring texture and form. This session is all about curiosity and play. You'll begin dreaming up your personal project and choosing a direction.

Session 2 & Session 3 – Build + Flow (2 hrs each)
These two sessions are dedicated work time for your personal project. You’ll continue developing your piece — whether it’s sculptural, functional, abstract, or something in between — with Sarah’s support and feedback throughout. This is a space to follow your instincts, change directions, and enjoy the slow pace of making.

Session 4 – Glaze + Gather (2 hrs)
You’ll glaze your finished pieces using our in-studio glazes and learn how color and surface interact with form. We’ll end with a short closing circle — a chance to reflect, share your process, and celebrate the work you’ve made with the group.

Course Details

- 4 weekly sessions (2 hours each)

- Includes all materials, glazing, and firings

- Open to all levels — no prior experience needed

- Ages 16+

- Small group size — max 6 participants

- You’ll take home 1–3 finished pieces, depending on your pace and process

- Price: 1,140 NIS per participant
